Dreams Celebration. The 2009 celebration was help at Infinity Park Events Center on Friday, June 19th.
Honorees included: Jesse Griego, who has Down Syndrome, is a valued member of the Arc in Colorado Springs, an very active volunteer, Special Olympic participant and is pursuing his dream of becoming a Mariachi singer.
Jenny McConville is part of the Arc Accounting Staff, and volunteers for the Alzheimer’s Association. Autism doesn’t stop Jenny. She is a Gold Medalist as a member of the Special Olympics basketball team and enjoys acting.
April Rennings is a Department Assistant at the Arc Colfax store. Although sometimes her cerebral palsy makes it difficult for her to verbalize, she has overcome this obstacle. As a greeter, customers look forward to seeing her and being the recipient of her kind spirit and playful, whimsical nature.
Kirk Montgomery 9News emceed the evening with a featured performance by the Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble with the Arc Ambassadors.
