Lloyd Lewis, President and CEO
Lloyd serves as the President and CEO for MARC, a Colorado non-profit corporation whose primary lines of business include the popular arc Thrift Stores as well as it’s Vehicles for Charity subsidiary. In this capacity, Mr. Lewis is responsible for the achievement of over $30 million in annual revenue and over $3MM in net income which is distributed to The Arc chapters in Colorado. These funds go to support advocacy for persons with disabilities in the state of Colorado, including Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, autism, and other forms of disabilities. Mr. Lewis’ role includes oversight and management of arc’s 18 retail thrift stores, corporate, and support operations, and it’s nearly 700 employees.
Candy Willer, Assistant to the President
Kathy McAdoo, Director of Business Development
Kathy’s 25+ years in retail operations bodes well for her position as the Director of Business Development. She is responsible for overseeing the Vehicles for Charity subsidiary as well as the Trucking, Telemarketing and Warehouse operations. In addition she fills the role of liaison for The Arc Chapters in Colorado. Kathy has been instrumental in cultivating relationships that have been the ignition of our community investment project and also has primary responsibility for fund-raising activities and events
Louise Vaughn, Director of Human Resources
Louise brings extensive business management experience in the for-profit sector to her position of Director of Human Resources for MARC. She has held management positions in Business management, human resources, and customer relations. Louise is also an Adjunct Faculty Member at the University of Denver, focusing on leadership and team development curriculum for master’s level programs. Louise manages the HR team that supports all of the human resources functions for over 650 arc Thrift Stores employees.
Bruce Stahlman, CFO
Bruce has 25 years of corporate finance experience with multinational companies in the telecommunication, energy and public accounting industries. He holds a MBA from Indiana University, a CPA registration and is responsible for all aspects of the Company's finances. He and his wife have three children, two of whom have cerebral palsy.
Ruth Thury, Manager of Accounting
Ruth has worked for MARC for eight years as an Accountant, Accounting Supervisor, and currently Manager of Accounting. Her responsibilities include Accounts Payable, Payroll, General Ledger, Sales Audit, Inventory, Asset Management and Sales Tax. Ruth brings 25 years of retail accounting experience to arc Thrift Stores, at Polo Ralph Lauren, and the May Company.
David Diedrich, Trucking/Facilities Manager
David oversees our fleet of 45 trucks and drivers as well as all aspects of facility maintenance. He manages the process of mapping and dispatching the routes the trucking fleet follows to pick up donated goods from the Colorado public and the flow into our warehouse. David’s staff on the facilities maintenance team keeps the stores and our buildings in top-notch shape. David has been with arc Thrift for 13 years.
Dave Roark, Warehouse/Replenishment Manager
Dave is responsible for 4 replenishment model arc Thrift Stores as well as supplemental production for all remaining locations. He offers over 10 years of arc Thrift Stores experience as well as 25 years as a meteorologist in the US Air Force.
Gerta Thompson, Merchandising Manager
Gerta is responsible for all arc Thrift Stores retail merchandising, new store merchandise, fixture planning, and inventory purchases. Gerta worked for 25 years at May D&F prior to her 11 year tenure at arc. In addition to merchandising, she held positions as a buyer and store manager of a $20 million store.
Jesse Ogas, Director of Public Relations
Jesse brings to arc Thrift Stores over 15 years experience in the retail industry. He acted as General Manager for May D & F, Foley's, Mervyns, Sears, and Kohl's. Most recently, Jesse has been involved in Community Relations specifically for non-profit organizations. He sits on the board of directors for La Clinica Tepeyac and Escuela Tlatelolco and has hosted local talk shows for El Centro Su Teatro, a local theatre company that's been around for over 30 years. Jesse joined ARC because of its mission and the work the organization does for and with people with disabilities.
Susan McPherson, District Manager
Susan has held positions in retail management for 19 years, most recently with Ross Stores as a Group Store Manager overseeing 9 stores with 300 employees and $60 million in revenue. At arc Thrift Stores, Susan has successfully managed multiple stores in the south region and is currently responsible for 6 stores in the south and east areas of the state as their District Manager. Susan’s son has cerebral palsy, so the mission of the company is especially near to her heart. She thinks it’s awesome to have the opportunity to use her work experience to further such a great cause.
